おめでとう Omedetou: The Space We Imagined
At Riri’s Children Playloft, we believe that a child’s early years are like a slow-blooming flower—best enjoyed without haste. To every family embarking on a new year of growth, we offer a heartfelt Omedetou (おめでとう). Congratulations on this beautiful milestone.
Our journey began not as a business, but as a search for a feeling. When we were raising our own children, we looked across Singapore for a toddler-friendly party venue that felt quiet, clean, and intentional. We yearned for a sanctuary that mirrored the minimalist beauty of a Japanese toy museum—a place where the air felt still and the play felt deep.
When we realised that the space we imagined did not yet exist here, we decided to build it ourselves.
A Sanctuary of Light and Stillness
We chose to nestle Riri’s within a peaceful residential pocket of Upper Thomson, away from the busy pace of commercial hubs. We wanted a space that felt like a hidden "third home" for families.
Natural Light and High Ceilings: We designed our playloft to breathe. With high ceilings and an abundance of natural light, the space feels open and airy. It is a place where time seems to slow down, and the sun sets a gentle pace for the afternoon’s festivities.
A Curated Soundscape: We believe that what children hear is just as important as what they see. We intentionally curate our music to maintain a calm atmosphere, focusing on soft piano instrumentals and slow, melodic compositions. This gentle background encourages deep focus and keeps the energy of the party peaceful for both children and adults.
The Beauty of the Objects: We believe that beautiful things should be useful, and useful things should be beautiful. Our shelves are thoughtfully curated with handcrafted wooden toys so that the loft is the decoration. The warm wood grains and thoughtful shadows create a timeless backdrop, allowing the natural beauty of the space to shine without the need for heavy external styling.
A Helping Hand (Omotenashi)
We remember the exhaustion of hosting at home—the flurry of preparation and the long cleanup. At Riri’s, our Play Guides offer a quiet, helping hand. They assist with the initial setup of the space, help manage the transition to cake-cutting, and provide a gentle presence to ensure the flow of the party is seamless. We provide a layer of support that allows you to be truly present with your guests.
Respecting the Rhythm of the Child
In a world that is often "too fast," we designed a sensory-friendly indoor playground that respects the natural rhythm of a quiet afternoon.
By avoiding the noise and overstimulation of typical play spaces, we ensure that children leave with their hearts full and their minds settled. It is our hope that the transition home leads to a nice nap or a peaceful bedtime, extending the joy of the celebration into a night of rest for the whole family.
A Living Philosophy
Riri’s is the result of a parent’s dream to find a clean, safe, and aesthetic party venue in Singapore. We maintain our sanctuary with the same care we give our own home, ensuring a hygienic space where toddlers can explore at their own pace.
As we look toward 2026, we are gently refining our offerings based on the 30+ celebrations we have hosted so far. We are exploring ways to add small, mindful touches — Our goal is to make your milestone celebration feel effortless, or at least, an enjoyable process without the str.
We invite you to experience the space we once only imagined. Let us handle the setup and the cleanup, while you enjoy the spirit of Omotenashi (おもてなし)—our commitment to wholehearted hospitality.
