All About Me: Senses at Play
Preschool Learning Journey Programme at Riri’s Children Playloft
Step into Riri’s Children Playloft, a magical toy museum filled with open-ended treasures waiting to be explored.
In this guided learning journey, children become sensory explorers as they spot hidden details, listen closely to playful sounds, and use their hands to build and create. Through music, movement, and hands-on discovery, little learners experience how their five senses help them understand and interact with the world around them.
Designed for infant to nursery preschool classes, this experience combines guided sensory discovery with open-ended play in a calm and thoughtfully curated environment.

Teacher Notes
This learning journey focuses on helping children discover how their senses help them observe, listen, and explore the world around them.
Through playful sensory challenges and hands-on exploration, children practise noticing details, recognising sounds, and using their hands to build and create with open-ended materials.
Teachers may use the visit to extend classroom conversations about:
How our eyes help us notice colours, shapes, and details
How our ears help us recognise different sounds
How our hands help us explore textures and build things
The free play session allows children to continue exploring materials and ideas independently, reinforcing learning through curiosity, imagination, and discovery.
